THE BARNET (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200
THE BARNET (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to introduce at any time waiting and loading restrictions on both sides of Spur Road, Edgware between its junction with A41 Edgware Way and A5 Stonegrove/Brockley Hill following the opening of the London Academy on Spur Road. It is considered that the restrictions, which would operate at all times, are required in order to prevent obstructive parking which could occur due to the activities of the new educational facility. The general effect of the Prescribed Route Order would be to prohibit north-eastbound vehicles travelling on Spur Road from performing “U-turn” movements around a new pelican crossing to be located opposite the vehicular entrance to the school, and south-westbound vehicles from performing “U-turn” movements around a central reservation to be located opposite the school’s vehicular exit. It is considered that these measures are required to prevent potential conflict with oncoming traffic, hence maintaining road safety. A copy of the proposed Orders, a plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at: (a) Development Team, Highways Group, Building 4, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP; and (b) The Information Centre, The Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BG. Further information of the proposals may be obtained by telephoning the London Borough of Barnet (Development Team, Highways Group), telephone 020 8359 3048. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection to the Parking Design Team, Building 4, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP within 21 days of the date of this notice.
