NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58
NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL WORKS FOR ROAD PURPOSES
1. Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Transport for London intends to carry out substantial road works. 2. The road in which these works will take place is A232 Croydon Road in Sutton between its junction with Collyer Road and Lavington Road. 3. TfL Ref SPST-TO-S58/2006/016. 4. Work is expected to affect the carriageway. 5. Work is expected to commence on 16 October 2006. 6. Work is expected to be completed on 2 March 2007. 7. The works notified will include the following: reconstruction (up to 650mm deep) and resurfacing works on the whole width of the carriageway and short sections of the side roads. Levels of the carriageway are generally to remain unchanged. 8. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of the works described in paragraph 7 without consent of Transport for London, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
