ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AND SECTION 16A

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 3 July 2006, made the following Orders to enable works or special events to be carried out on the highway.

THE ISLINGTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (BENWELL ROAD CRANE OPERATIONS) ORDER 2006

1. The general effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Benwell Road between its junction with Queensland Road and the southern boundary of 58 Benwell Road. 2. The alternative route for traffic will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs during the works and shall be for: (a) southbound traffic via Hornsey Road, Holloway Road and Drayton Park; and (b) northbound traffic via Drayton Park, Holloway Road and Hornsey Road. 3. The Order shall come into force on 8 July 2006 and may be in force for one day only or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

THE ISLINGTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (CRINAN STREET CRANE OPERATIONS) ORDER 2006

1. The general effect of the Order is to: (a) prohibit vehicular traffic on Crinan Street between its junction with York Way and No. 8 Crinan Street; (b) suspend the one way traffic working in Crinan Street for access only; and (c) suspend the point of “No Entry” into Crinan Street from York Way for access only. 2. The alternative route for traffic will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs during the works and shall be for access only from each end of Crinan Street. 3. The Order shall come into force on 14 July 2006 until 16 July 2006 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

THE ISLINGTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (SPECIAL EVENT) (FINSBURY PARK RISE EVENT) ORDER 200 

1. The general effect of the Order will be to: (a) prohibit vehicular traffic on Blackstock Road between Ambler Road and Seven Sisters Road, Clifton Terrace, Lennox Road between Stroud Green Road and Fonthill Road, Morris Place, St. Thomas’s Road between Rock Street and the party wall of Nos 65 and 67 St. Thomas’s Road, Prah Road between the Rock Street and the party wall of Nos 7 and 9 Prah Road, Stroud Green Road between Tollington Park and Seven Sisters Road, and Wells Terrace; (b) introduce a prohibition of waiting and loading between the hours of 8.00 am Saturday 8 July 2006 and 11.00 pm Saturday 8 July 2006 on Blackstock Road between Ambler Road and Seven Sisters Road, Clifton Terrace, Lennox Road the south-east side between Stroud Green Road and Fonthill Road, Morris Place, Stroud Green Road between Tollington Park and Seven Sisters Road, and Wells Terrace; and (c) introduce a prohibition of waiting and loading, exempting residents, between the hours of 8.00 am Saturday 8 July 2006 and 11.00 pm Saturday 8 July 2006 on Lennox Road between Stroud Green Road and Fonthill Road; in order to maintain access to this event by members of the public. 2. The alternative route for traffic will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs during the works and shall be via local signage. 3. Nothing in these restrictions shall apply to any person or vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes, to any bus being used in connection with the special event, any vehicle being used to transport personnel in connection with the special event or to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Officer or Traffic Warden in uniform. 4. The restriction shall apply from 8.00 am on Saturday 8 July 2006 to 11.00 p.m. on Saturday 8 July 2006 as shall be indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to section 66 or 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 6. The Order shall come into force on 8 July 2006 and may be in force for one day.

THE ISLINGTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (ISLINGTON PARK STREET PRIVATE SEWER REPAIRS) ORDER 2006

1. The general effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Islington Park Street outside No 32 Islington Park Street. 2. The alternative route for traffic will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs during the works and shall be for: (a) eastbound via Liverpool Road, Barnsbury Street and Upper Street; and (b) westbound via Upper Street, Barnsbury Street and Liverpool Road. 3. The Order shall come into force on 10 July 2006 until 24 July 2006 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
