REVISED PARKING FACILITIES-DEVONSHIRE PLACE

1. Notice is hereby given that Westminster City Council on 5th July 2006, made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985: The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (No 26) Order 2006; The City of Westminster (Doctor Parking Places) (No 2) Order 2006; The City of Westminster (Free Parking Place) (Disabled Drivers) (Permit Parking Places) (No 5) Order 2006; The City of Westminster (Free Parking Place) (Disabled Persons) (No 4) Order 2006; The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No 225) Order 2006. 2. The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with planning permission granted to the medical practice at Nos 3 to 5 Devonshire Place, to: (a) relocate four 4-hour “shared use” parking spaces from outside Nos 2 to 5 Devonshire Place (north-east side) to outside Nos 39 and 40 (south-west side), to convert to “echelon” bays and to provide an additional space. The hours of operation, parking charges, etc. at the bays would remain unchanged; (b) remove the redundant doctors’ parking place (No D.157) from outside No 41 Devonshire Place; (c) relocate the doctors’ parking place (No D.156) from outside No 1 Devonshire Place (north-east side) to outside No 40 (south-west side) and convert to an “echelon” bay; (d) relocate and extend the disabled persons’ parking place (for “Blue Badge” holders) from outside No 40 Devonshire Place (south-west side) to outside Nos 1 and 2 (north-east side); (e) relocate the disabled driver’s parking place (for “White Badge” holder No 098) from outside No 39 Devonshire Place to outside No 41 (south-west side); (f) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions outside Nos 3 to 5 Devonshire Place and at the junction of Devonshire Place with Devonshire Street. 3. The Orders, which will come into force on 10 July 2006, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AJ, until 18 August 2006. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 18 August 2006.
