THE A38 TRUNK ROAD (A50 TO A61, DERBYSHIRE) AND THE A516 TRUNK ROAD (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT AND DERESTRICTION) ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he intends to make an Order under sections 82(2), 83(1) and 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9, to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A38 and the A516 Trunk Roads in the City of Derby and the County of Derbyshire. The effect of the Order would be to consolidate existing speed limits on the length of the A38 between its roundabout junctions with the A50 and the A61 and on a length of the A516 into one order. No changes to existing speed limits are proposed. A copy of the draft Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals and a Statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Derby Central Library, The Wardwick, Derby DE1 1HS, Allestree Library, Park Farm Centre, Allestree, Derby DE22 2QN, or may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Orders Team, 4 Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to Karen Eustace at the Highways Agency at the address given above.
