PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with section 69(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, the Malvern Hills District Council designated on 15 June 2006, the under-mentioned areas of Martley as extensions to the existing Martley Conservation Area. Martley: The inclusion of: (a) The area of developing wet woodland north of The Willows, bounded on its east side by Church Lane. (b) The area immediately east of the conservation area boundary including The Old Chantry, but stopping short of Martley Primary School. (c) The land immediately enclosing the avenue of Damson trees immediately north of Ivy Cottage and running north to the field boundary. A copy of the plan showing the new Conservation Area can be viewed on line on our website at www.malvernhills.gov.uk, at the Malvern Hills Customer Service Centre in Malvern and at the Tenbury Area Office during normal opening hours. The effect of designation is that no person may, without the written consent of the Council, demolish any building, or cut down, top, lop, uproot or wilfully damage any tree within the Conservation Area. The Council will also give special attention to the desirability of preserving or enhancing the character or appearance of the Area.
