PROPOSED AT ANY TIME WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN GREEN LANE, HERMITAGE LANE AND STRATHBROOK ROAD

Note: This notice is about proposed introduction of double yellow lines in parts of Green Lane, Hermitage Lane and Strathbrook Road. Objections or other representations may be made—see paragraph 6 below. 1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth propose to make the Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No  ) Order 200   and the Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No  ) Order 200   under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to ban waiting by vehicles at any time (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle subject to certain time limits and conditions) in the parts of the streets specified in the Schedule to this notice. The ban, to be indicated by double yellow lines, would be instead of any existing ban on waiting in these parts of streets. 3. The Orders are necessary to prevent parking at and near the junction of Green Lane, Hermitage Lane and Strathbrook Road so as to improve pedestrian accessibility, sight lines and safety. 4. For further information about the Orders please telephone 0207 926 9000 and select the option for transport and highways enquiries. 5. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except Bank Holidays) until the last day of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at: the offices of the Transport and Highways Group, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, London SW9 9SP. 6. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to the Transport and Highways Group, London Borough of Lambeth, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, London SW9 9SP, by 22 May 2006.
