PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Clariant LSM (UK) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of pharmaceutical, organic and inorganic chemicals, including treatment of non-hazardous wastes in a biological treatment plan. The installation is located at Prince William Avenue, Sandycroft CH5 2PX, in the district of Deeside, in the county of Flintshire. The application contains the information required by the regulations, including a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. This information is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Buckley Office, Chester Road, Buckley, Flintshire CH7 3AJ; and Flintshire County Council, Public Register, Environmental Health, County Hall, Mold, Flintshire CH7 6NN. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday). In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice: The Environment Agency, PO Box 12, Richard Fairclough House, Knutsford Road, Latchford, Warrington WA4 1HG. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
