THE M6 MOTORWAY (CARLISLE TO GUARDS MILL SECTION) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER (NO 32) 2006

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under the above Acts, on 28 April 2006, made with modifications the M6 Motorway (Carlisle to Guards Mill Section) Compulsory Purchase Order (No. 32) 2006. The Order as made provides for the purchase for the purpose of: I. the construction of the Motorway in the parishes of Kingmoor, Rockcliffe and Kirkandrews-on-Esk, in the district of Carlisle in the county of Cumbria in pursuance of the M6 Motorway (Carlisle to Guards Mill Section) and Connecting Roads Scheme 2006; II. the construction of the Motorway in the parishes of Kingmoor, Rockcliffe and Kirkandrews-on-Esk, in the district of Carlisle in the county of Cumbria in pursuance of the M6 Motorway (Carlisle to Guards Mill Section) (Appropriation) Order 2006; III. the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises in the parishes of Kingmoor, Rockcliffe and Kirkandrews-on-Esk, in the district of Carlisle in the county of Cumbria in pursuance of the M6 Motorway (Carlisle to Guards Mill Section) (Side Roads) Order 2006; IV. the replacement of the A74 Trunk Road in those parishes; V. the execution of works on watercourses in connection with the construction of the Motorway and the construction and improvement of other highways and the execution of other works mentioned above; VI. use by the Secretary of State for Transport in connection with such construction and improvement of highways and the execution of other works mentioned above. The land and the new rights described in the Schedule hereto. A copy of the Order as made and of the map referred to therein have been deposited at the offices of the Highways Agency, Room 710, City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, and at The Capita Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ, and may be seen there at all reasonable hours. The Order as made becomes operative on the date on which this notice is first published; but a person aggrieved by the Order, may by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from that date, question its validity on the grounds that the authorisation granted by the Order is not empowered to be granted or that there has been a failure to comply with any relevant statutory requirement relating to the Order.
