THE BEXLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 55) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley, on 25 April 2006, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Bexley (Miscellaneous Parking Places) (Amendment No 30) Traffic Order 2006 would be to extend the 1 hour parking place outside Nos 180 to 188, and Nos 317 and 319, Bexley Road, southwards. 3. The general effect of the Bexley (Loading Places) (Amendment No 10) Traffic Order 2006 would be to introduce a loading bay outside Nos 267 and 269 Bexley Road. 4. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No 55) Traffic Order 2006 would be to further amend the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2002, so that: (a) “At any time” waiting restrictions are introduced in additional lengths of Bexley Road, Erith and Horsa Road, Erith; (b) the existing Monday to Saturday, 8.00 am to 6.30 pm, waiting restrictions in parts of Avenue Road, Erith; Bexley Road, Erith; Limewood Road, Erith; Mill Road, Erith; Northumberland Close, Erith; and Northumberland Park are changed to apply “at any time”; (c) extend the 1 hour parking bays outside Nos 180-188 and 317-319 Bexley Road; and (d) introduce a loading bay outside Nos 267 and 269 Bexley Road. 5. Copies of the Orders, the Bexley (Miscellaneous Parking Places) Traffic Order 1997 (and the Orders which have amended that Order); the Bexley (Loading Places) Traffic Order 1998 (and the Orders which have amended that Order); the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2002 (and the Orders that amended that Order); the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and a map which indicates the length of roads to which the Orders relate can be inspected, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, in the Contact Centre, London Borough of Bexley, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB. 6. Copies of the Orders, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and a map which indicates the length of roads to which the Orders relate can be inspected, during the normal library hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, in Erith Library, Walnut Tree Road, Erith, Kent DA8 1RS. 7. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Raj Upadhyaya on 020 8308 7831. 8. Persons desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been compiled with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the day on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
