NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by S Grundon (Ewelme) Ltd, for consent to discharge 5,925 cubic metres per day of gravel washing effluent to groundwater at National Grid Ref SU 53632 66239 from Colthrop Mineral Processing Plant, Thatcham, Berkshire. Proposed discharge: this application is for the discharge of water extracted from a groundwater lagoon, used in the washing and processing of minerals, to be returned to the same groundwater lagoon. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to Jon Mansbridge, The Environment Agency, Red Kite House, Howbery Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8BD, not later than 8 June 2006, quoting Ref W/WR1338. Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the Environment Agency address above, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
