PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY AT DAVENPORT
IN THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF STOCKPORT

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on the application of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act which will authorise the proposed stopping-up of a length of footway at the front of 231 Bramhall Lane, Stockport. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, on 27 November 2003, under Ref DC012970. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 26 April 2006, at the offices of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, Hygarth House, Wellington Road South, Stockport, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for North West (Planning Casework) (quoting Ref GO/TNW 5086/35/1/51) at the address stated below. Anyone may object to the making of the proposed Order but the objection must be received by the end of the 28 day objection period mentioned above. Objections should be made in writing, quoting the above reference, to the Secretary of State, at Government Office for the North West (Planning Casework), City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, or by e-mailing neil.reynolds@gonw.gsi.gov.uk Please bear in mind that any objections received will be passed to the applicant and other people affected by it, and those persons may contact the objector regarding the issues raised. The substance of the objection should relate to the loss of public right of way and not the merits of development taking place.
