THE SUTTON (ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (NO 2) (AMENDMENT NO 37) ORDER 2006

RELATING TO SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 24 April 2006 under sections 6, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Order is to increase the available parking space for permit holders in the Sutton Controlled Parking Zone 3. The general effect of the Order will be to revoke the exemption for disabled person’s badge holders to park in permit parking places in the Sutton Controlled Parking Zone. 4. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 2 May 2006, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order may be examined at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm Tuesday and Thursday. 5. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
