PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Centrica Barry Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Permit to operate an installation involving the burning of fuel in an appliance with a rated thermal input of 50 megawatts or more. The installation is located at Barry Power Station, Sully Moors Road, Sully CF64 5YU, in the district of Barry in the county of Vale of Glamorgan. The application (Ref JP 3333LV) contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate installation is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency Wales, Rivers House, St Mellons Business Park, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0LT; and Vale of Glamorgan Council, Civic Centre, Holton Road, Barry CF63 4HD. An electronic copy can also be viewed on the Centrica website at www.Centrica.com Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers may do so upon payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address given above, within 28 days of the date of this notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
