THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200  
TOWER ROAD, TWICKENHAM (REF 31/06)

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991 (as amended). 2. The general effect of the Free Parking Places Order will be to introduce 4 free parking bays on the north side of Tower Road, Twickenham, between the level crossing at Strawberry Hill railway station and Orford Gardens. The bays will be arranged as a set of 3 bays and a single bay. Parking for a maximum period of 30 minutes will be permitted in these bays between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays, with no return allowed within 1 hour. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to introduce waiting restriction (“no waiting, 8.30 am to 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays”) for a distance of 7 metres in the gap between the parking bays in this length of Tower Road. 4. Copies of the Draft Orders, a plan showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice, quoting Ref 31/06, at: (a) Teddington Library, Waldegrave Road, Teddington, Middlesex TW11 8LG, during opening hours; and (b) the Civic Centre (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public Holidays, for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice. 5. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Transport Planning Service, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, within 21 days of the date of this notice, giving the grounds of their objection.
