THE A306 GLA ROAD (WANDSWORTH) (RED ROUTE) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be: (a) To continue controls prohibiting stopping at any time at locations where stationary vehicles cause danger or congestion. (b) To identify areas marked on the carriageway in “boxes”, where parking and loading/unloading activities can take place at various times and for various periods, at locations where stationary vehicles do not cause danger or congestion. (c) To permit disabled persons’ vehicles to park in parking boxes for unlimited periods when these boxes operate. (d) Other exemptions to the new Red Route allow for boarding and alighting from buses, taxis and disabled passengers from disabled persons’ vehicles at designated areas. 3. The road which would be affected by the Order is Roehampton Lane (A306). 4. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected, during normal office hours, at the offices of: Transport for London, Traffic Orders Team, Road Network Development, Faith Lawson House, 15-17 Dacre Street, London SW1H 0DJ; and London Borough of Wandsworth, Town Hall, High Street, Wandsworth, London SW18 2PU. 5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Street Management, Windsor House, 42-50 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0TL quoting Ref TASS/AD/SF/TO, GLA/2006/243, to arrive before 12 May 2006. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
