THE TAMESIDE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL (GLOSSOP SPUR, LONGDENDALE/HADFIELD) (CLASSIFIED ROAD) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2006

The Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, acting under an agreement with Derbyshire County Council, pursuant to section 8 of the Highways Act 1980, on 19 April 2006 made the above Order under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980: The Order is about to be submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation. The Order will authorise the Council to: (a) improve highways, (b) stop up highways, (c) construct new highways, (d) stop up private means of access to premises and (e) provide new means of access to premises, all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the Glossop Spur which the Council are proposing to construct between the A57(T) Mottram Moor in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside and the A57 Brookfield in the borough of High Peak Copies of the Order and of the plans referred to in it, may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable times from 20 April 2006 until 2 June 2006 at: Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne OL6 6DL; The Offices of the Secretary of State for Transport, Government Offices, Local Authority Orders, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH; Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3AG; Mottram Library, Broadbottom Road, Mottram, Tameside SK14 6JA; Hollingworth Clinic, Market Street, Hollingworth SK14 8HR; High Peak Borough Council, Council Offices, Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak SK23 0QJ; and Glossop Library, Victoria Hall, Talbot Street, Glossop, Derbyshire SK13 7DQ. Any objection to the confirmation of the Order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, Government Office for the North East, Local Authority Orders Section, 4th Floor, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH before 2 June 2006 and should state the title of the Order and the grounds of objection.
