THE A14 TRUNK ROAD (SNAILWELL, CAMBRIDGESHIRE) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) ORDER 2006

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A14 Trunk Road in Cambridgeshire. The effect of the Order will be to close the lay by situated on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 between points 2,800 metres and 3,154 metres east of the centre line of the A142 Exning Interchange, at Snailwell. A copy of the proposed Order, which came into force on 7 April 2006, may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Newmarket Library, 1 a The Rookery, Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 8EQ, and Newmarket Town Council, King Edward VII Memorial Hall, High Street, Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 8JP, or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division, Orders Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA 41/29/206. Any person wishing to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in, the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers with respect to the Order conferred by the above Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of, or of any Instrument made under any provision of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 24 March 2006, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
