ELIZABETH THE SECOND, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Our other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting! WHEREAS We are desirous of having an Award to individuals henceforth to mark Our recognition of outstanding achievements in the promotion of an enterprise culture; AND WHEREAS by Warrant under Our Royal Sign Manual dated the 22nd day of December 2004 it was ordained that there should be a mark of Our recognition of individuals for outstanding achievement in the promotion of enterprise culture to be styled “The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion”; AND WHEREAS it has been represented to Us that it may from time to time be expedient for Us to recognise for the aforesaid Award certain foreign nationals and citizens of Commonwealth countries; NOW THEREFORE We do by these Presents for Us, Our Heirs and Successors further declare and ordain that: 1. An Award granted to individuals under this Our Warrant shall be designated and styled “The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion” and shall be made at one of two levels: The Standard Award or the Lifetime Achievement Award. 2. A recipient of the Award at the Standard level shall be entitled to use the words “Holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion” after his or her name on personal stationery. 3. A recipient of the Award at the Standard level shall be entitled to use the words “Holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion” after his or her name and the title of the paid or honorary position he or she holds with a company or organisation on that company’s or organisation’s stationery, provided that it shall be made clear that the Award relates to the individual and not to the company or organisation. 4. A recipient of the Award at the Lifetime Achievement level shall be entitled to use the words “Holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion, Lifetime Achievement Award” after his or her name on personal stationery. 5. A recipient of the Award at the Lifetime Achievement level shall be entitled to use the words “Holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion, Lifetime Achievement Award” after his or her name and the title of the paid or honorary position he or she holds with a company or organisation on that company’s or organisation’s stationery, provided that it shall be made clear that the Award relates to the individual and not to the company or organisation. 6. An Award under this Our Warrant at both levels as aforesaid We may confer on citizens of Commonwealth countries of which We are Head of State. 7. An Award under this Our Warrant may be conferred on an honorary basis at both levels as aforesaid on foreign nationals and on citizens of Commonwealth countries of which we are not Head of State and these recipients shall be entitled to use the style appropriate to the Award conferred upon them on an honorary basis but in like manner as provided for in paragraphs 2, 3, 4 and 5 above. 8. The title to use the descriptions of the Award shall be conveyed by a document to be known as the Grant of Appointment which shall specify the name of the individual so entitled. 9. The currency of the Award shall be the lifetime of the individual recipient named in the Grant of Appointment. 10. The recipients of the Award shall be announced on the twenty-first day of April in each year, the date of the Anniversary of Our Birthday. 11. The names of those upon whom We may be pleased to confer an Award shall be published in The London Gazette. 12. An Award shall be granted in recognition of outstanding achievement in enterprise promotion by individuals within Our United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Our Channel Islands and Our Island of Man. 13. An Award shall be made on a recommendation to Us by Our Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury. 14. It shall be competent for Us, Our Heirs and Successors by an Order under Sign Manual and on a recommendation to that effect from Our Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury, to cancel and annul an Award to any individual. 15. We reserve to Ourselves, Our Heirs and Successors full power of annulling, altering, abrogating, augmenting, interpreting, or dispensing with these rules and ordinances, or any part thereof by a notification under Our Sign Manual.
