THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO 4) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006

1. Notice is hereby given that Croydon Council on 18 April 2006 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
2. (a) revoke the disabled parking places located adjacent to Cecil Court, Elgin Road, Croydon, outside No 42 Elmers Road, South Norwood, outside No 56 Grasmere Road, South Norwood, outside No 71 Harcourt Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos 205-227 Homestead Way, New Addington, outside No 31 Malvern Road, Thornton Heath, outside No 12 Shepherds Way, South Croydon, outside No 49 Southwell Road, Croydon and outside No 21 Verdayne Avenue, Croydon;
(b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit outside No 201 Addington Road, South Croydon, outside No 16 Auckland Close, Upper Norwood (at an angle of 90 degrees to the kerb), Brafferton Road, Croydon (adjacent to No 58 Southbridge Road, converting a “pay and display” bay), outside Nos 56 to 76 Chertsey Crescent, New Addington (converting a free bay), outside No 79 Dalmeny Avenue, Norbury, outside Nos 66/68 Effingham Road, Croydon (2 wheels up on footway), outside No 16 Elmers Road, South Norwood, outside No 113 Grange Road, South Croydon, outside No 18 Hambrook Road, South Norwood, outside No 75 Headcorn Road, Thornton Heath, outside No 4 Lloyd Avenue, Norbury, outside No 33 and No 63 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath (2 bays), outside No 53 Preston Road, Upper Norwood (2 wheels up on footway), outside No 12 Ripley Close, New Addington, Sandfield Road, Thornton Heath (adjacent to 143 Parchmore Road) and outside No 78 Shaxton Crescent, New Addington (2 wheels up on footway).
A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 24 April 2006 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.
3. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Services, Environmental, Cultural and Sports Services Department, 1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon CR0 1QQ.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
