THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO 12/2006) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006
REVISED WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS
KING CHARLES ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 18 April 2006 made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the order, which will come into force on 24 April 2006, will be to introduce additional double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions at the following locations in King Charles Road:

(a) on the east side:
outside Nos 55 and 57 (extension of existing restrictions northward by 20 metres)
outside Nos 67 and 69 (extension of existing restrictions southward by 15 metres)
extending an additional 3 metres northward at its junction with Avenue south
extending an additional 10 metres southward opposite its junction with Derby Road

(b) on the west side:
outside Nos 1 to 12 Oakwood (extension of existing restrictions southward by 11 metres)
outside Nos 78 to 86 and Nos 13 to 24 Longhurst (extension of existing restrictions northward by 50 metres)
outside No 134 (extension of existing restrictions northward by 14 metres)
extending an additional 10 metres southward at its junction with Derby Road.

3. The order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order, including a plan showing the location and effect of the restrictions, are available for inspection until 30 May 2006 at the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT11EU between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and Surbiton Library, Ewell Road, Surbiton during normal opening hours.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 30 May 2006.
