HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

BENTHALL LANE, BROSELEY, SHROPSHIRE

Notice is hereby given, that Shropshire County Council, The Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY2 6ND, intends to apply to Telford Magistrates Court sitting at Telford Magistrates Court, Telford Square, Town Centre, Malinsgate, Telford, on 19 May 2006, at 10.30 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of part of the highway known as Benthall Lane, Broseley, Shropshire, in the following manner: By stopping-up a strip of highway varying in width between 2.3 metres and 3.2 metres and 24 metres long across of the frontages of Nos 25 and 26 Benthall Lane, Broseley, shown hatched on the plan on the grounds that that part of the highway is unnecessary for public use. A copy of the notice and plan may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at The Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, and Broseley Library, The Old School, Bridgnorth Road, Broseley TF12 5EL. Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make representations about it may appear at the hearing on the date and time shown above. The Council request that advance notice be given to it if any such objection or representation by writing to the undersigned quoting Ref MMC/HTHDC-52.
