HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

DARK LANE, BROSELEY, SHROPSHIRE

Notice is hereby given, that Shropshire County Council, The Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY2 6ND, intends to apply to Telford Magistrates Court sitting at Telford Magistrates Court, Telford Square, Town Centre, Malinsgate, Telford, on 19 May 2006, at 10.30 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of part of the highway known as Dark Lane, Broseley, Shropshire, in the following manner: By stopping-up a strip of land approximately 32.4 metres long by between 1.8 metres and 2.4 metres wide being part of the footway in front of 1 Dark Lane, Clenchacre and 10 Clenchacres, Dark Lane shown hatched on the plan on the grounds that that part of the highway is unnecessary for public use. A copy of the notice and plan may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at The Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, and during normal opening hours at Broseley Library, The Old School, Bridgnorth Road, Broseley. Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make representations about it may appear at the hearing on the date and time shown above. Any such person intending to attend the hearing is requested to inform the County Council by writing to the undersigned quoting Ref MMC/HTHM-113.
