THE REDBRIDGE (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 2) ORDER 2006
NEW NORTH ROAD—WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, on 10 April 2006, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to implement part of the restrictions which were first proposed and published in the Ilford Recorder and The London Gazette on 16 January 2005.
3. The general effect of the waiting and loading restriction Order would be to further amend the Redbridge (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993 so as to introduce waiting and loading restrictions operative “at any time” on the lengths of street specified in the Schedule to this notice.
Details of exemptions from the restrictions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Order of 1993.
4. The Council have deferred making a decision under Regulation 19 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, on whether to proceed with the proposed one way working in Kielder Close and Staggart Green.
5. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 17 April 2006, of the Order being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, together with plans showing the locations may be inspected between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays (9.30 am to 4.30 pm on Wednesdays), until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 INN.
6. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Schedule
New North Road:

(a) the north-west side, between a point l metre north-east of the common boundary of Nos 323 and 325 New North Road and a point 41 metres north-east of that boundary;
(b) the south-east side, between a point 1 metre north-east of the common boundary of Nos 323 and 325 New North Road and a point 37.5 metres north-east of that boundary.
