NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR VARIATION OF CONSENT

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Seasons Estates Limited, Rowan House, Brotherswood Court, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32 4QW, to vary consent No 017690497 to increase the daily discharge volume from 65 cubic metres per day to a maximum of 92 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent from Whitbarrow Holiday Village, Berrier, Penrith, Cumbria to Hatters Syke, a tributary of Skitwath Beck at National Grid Ref NY 4086 2890. Any persons wishing to make representations about the above application should do so in writing to Pam Barnes, Authorisations Officer, Environment Agency, Customer Services Section, Ghyll Mount, Gillan Way, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 9BP, not later than 27 May 2006, quoting Ref N/35/P/04. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the office above between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
