HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE COUNTY OF CORNWALL (CARNON GATE IMPROVEMENT) (A39) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2005

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has confirmed the above Order which was made by Cornwall County Council, under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980, and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to:

(a) improve lengths of highways;
(b) stop up highways;
(c) construct new highways;
(d) stop up private means of access to premises; and
(e) provide new means of access to premises;

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the Truro to Falmouth Road (A39) which the Council are proposing to construct between points 183 metres north-east and 300 metres south-west of its junction with the Devoran to Bissoe Road (C5).
A copy of the Order and the relevant plans may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive (except Bank and Public Holidays), at the offices of the Cornwall County Council, Room 471, New County Hall, Truro. Copies may also be seen during normal office hours, at the offices of the Head of Leisure and Tourism, Carrick District Council, Carrick House, Pydar Street, Truro.
Arrangements can also be made to inspect copies of the documents at the office of the Feock Parish Council, Four Turnings, Feock, by contacting the Parish Clerk on 01872 863333. Copies are also available for inspection at Devoran Post Office, Carnon Downs Post Office and Playing Place Post Office.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 13 April 2006, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
