BENFIELD GROUP UK RETIREMENT BENEFIT PLAN

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Benfield Group UK Retirement Benefit Plan (“the Plan”), is in the process of being wound up. The Trustees have given notice to this effect to all known Members in accordance with the Occupational Pension Scheme (Disclosure of Information Regulations 1996). Any other person not already contacted, who believes that they may have an entitlement or interest in the Plan is hereby required to send particulars in writing of his or her claim or interest to the Trustees of the Benfield Group UK Retirement Benefit Plan, c/o Jim Harwood, Benfield, 55 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 3BD, by Friday 11 August 2006. After this date the Trustees will distribute the assets of the Plan among the persons entitled thereto having regard only to claims and interests of which they had notice and will not, as respect to the assets so distributed, be liable to any person of whose claim they shall not then have had notice of.
