DEVONSHIRE ROW—PEDESTRIANISATION
SHOE LANE—EXTENSION OF CLOSURE

1. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of London on 7 April 2006 made Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The effect of the Orders will be to: (a) close Devonshire Row to motor vehicles between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays excluded). Exemption has been provided for emergency vehicles and vehicles performing statutory duties. (b) extend the length of the existing closure to motor vehicles in the southern section of Shoe Lane so that it applies from the northern kerb-line of Wine Office Court to Fleet Street. 3. A copy of each Order which will come into operation on 18 April 2006 and of a plan showing the affected streets can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made in the Department of Planning and Transportation, Guildhall, London EC2P 2EJ. 4. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Department of Planning and Transportation at the above address or by telephone 0207 3321108. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
