PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that International Paint Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of organic chemicals, the manufacture of finished coatings and the application of coatings for research and development purposes. The installation is located at Stoneygate Lane, Felling, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear NE10 0JY, in the borough/district of Gateshead, in the county of Tyne and Wear. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the International Paint Limited installation is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, IPPC Public Register, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle NE4 7AR; and IPPC Public Register, Gateshead Borough Council, Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear NE8 1HH Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
