NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A SUBMARINE PIPELINE
WORKS AUTHORISATION

ConocoPhillips UK Ltd hereby gives notice on behalf of itself and partners RWE Dea (UK) Ltd and Venture Production Plc, in accordance with the provisions of Part I of Schedule 2 to the Petroleum Act 1998 that it has made an application to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry for the grant of an authorisation for the construction and use of a system of pipelines. These 13.5 km and 3.7 km pipelines are intended to be laid between the planned Mimas platform in Southern North Sea block 48/9a and the existing Saturn platform in block 48/9a and the planned Tethys platform in block 49/11b of the Southern North Sea and an existing Tee piece on the Saturn to LOGGS pipeline respectively. A map delineating the route of the proposed pipelines and providing certain further information may be inspected, free of charge, at the places listed in the Schedule to this notice from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on each weekday from the date that this notice is published until the date mentioned in the next paragraph of this notice. Pursuant to a direction of the Secretary of State, representations with respect to the application may be made in writing and addressed to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry at the Department of Trade and Industry, ERDU-LED, Atholl House, 86-88 Guild Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6AR (marked FAO: Mr Kevin Clarke, Offshore Pipeline Authorisations) not later than 5 May 2006, and should bear the Ref “RDBC/001/00269C” and state the grounds upon which the representations are made.
