NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that National Grid, of Melton Court, Gibson Lane, Melton, Hull HU14 3HH, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from River Hull, at National Grid Refs E 506 604.275 and N 438 203.853, at Figham Marsh, Beverley. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 300 cubic metres per hour, 7,200 cubic metres per day, total 31,000 cubic metres, between May and September each year. The water will be used for hydrostatic testing of gas pipeline. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Melton Court, Gibson Lane, Hull, between 10 April 2006 and 8 May 2006. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
