NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that National Grid, of Melton Court, Gibson Lane, Melton, Hull HU14 3HH, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Beverley and Barnston Drain, at National Grid Refs E 506 273.474 and N 438 310.835, at Figham Marsh, Beverley. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 150 cubic metres per hour, 3,600 cubic metres per day, total 15,000 cubic metres, between May 2006 and September 2006. The water will be used for hydrostatic testing of gas pipeline. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Melton Court, Gibson Lane, Hull, between 10 April 2006 and 8 May 2006. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
