THE HARINGEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter
called the Council, on 6 April 2006 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections
6, 84(1)(a) and (2) and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) impose a 20 mph speed limit on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to
this notice;
(b) impose waiting restrictions operative between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on Mondays
to Saturdays inclusive on the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;
(c) impose waiting restrictions operative between 7.00 am and 10.00 am and between
4.00 pm and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive on the length of street specified
in Schedule 3 to this notice;
(d) impose waiting restrictions operative at any time on the lengths of streets specified
in Schedule 4 to this notice;
(e) impose one way working, except for pedal cycles, on the lengths of streets specified
in column 1 of the table in Schedule 5 to this notice, in the direction specified
in column 2 of that table;
(f) prohibit all vehicles:
(i) from entering Gloucester Road and its junction with Chester Road;
(ii) from entering St Margaret’s Road at its junction with Belton Road;
(iii) from entering Kitchener Road at its junction with Field Road;
(iv) from entering Mount Pleasant Road at its junction with Chester Road;
(g) revoke the existing closures:
(i) in Wimborne Road and its junction with Mount Pleasant Road.
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 7 April 2006 council’s
statement of reason for making the Order and plans showing the locations and effect
of the Order may be inspected during a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the
Order was made, during normal office working hours at Highways Infrastructure Group,
River Park House, 1st Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8HQ.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision
contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that and of the relevant requirements thereof
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation
to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for
the purpose to the High Court.

Schedule 2
The Avenue, London N17, the north side, between a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline
of Mount Pleasant Road and the western kerbline of Drayton Road.
Schedule 3
The Avenue, London N17, the north side, between a point 13 metres west of the western kerbline
of Mount Pleasant Road and 27 metres west of that kerbline.
Schedule 4
Dongola Road, London N17, both sides, between the southern kerbline of The Avenue and a point
10 metres south of that kerbline.
The Avenue, London N17, the south side, between a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline
of Dongola Road and a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline of Dongola Road.
Moorefield Road, London N17, between a point 12 meters south of the southern kerbline of Sperling
Road and a point 12 metres north of the northern kerbline of Sperling Road;
Sperling Road, London N17, both sides, between the western kerbline of Moorefield Road and a point
16 metres west of that kerbline;
Wimborne Road, London N17, both sides, between the western kerbline of Mount Pleasant Road and
