PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS AT CHINA LANE AND LIVSEY COURT, BOLTON

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on the application of Good & Tillotson Ltd, he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act which will authorise the proposed stopping up of highways at China Lane and Livsey Court, Bolton. If the Order is made, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the granted under Part III of the Act to Gordons (Bolton) Ltd by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council on 1 December 2005 under Ref 72424/05. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 6 April 2006 at Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Wellspring Civic Centre, Bolton BL1 1US and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the North West (Planning Casework) (quoting Ref GO/TNW 5080/35/1/50) at the address stated below. Anyone may object to the making of the proposed Order but the objection must be received by the end of the 28-day objection period mentioned above. Objections should be made in writing, quoting the above reference, to the Secretary of State at the Government Office for the North West (Planning Casework), City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE or by e-mailing deborah.linney@gonw.gsi.gov.uk Please bear in mind that any objections received will be passed to the applicant and other people affected by it, and those persons may contact the objector regarding the issues raised. The substance of the objection should relate to the loss of public right of way and not the merits of development taking place.
