THE A43 TRUNK ROAD (NORTHAMPTONSHIRE—OXFORDSHIRE) (VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2005 REVOCATION ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A43 Trunk Road in Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. The effect of the Order would be to revoke the A43 Trunk Road (Northamptonshire—Oxfordshire) (Variable Speed Limit) Order 2005/S.I. 1680 which imposed a 40 or 50 miles per hour speed limit on: (a) the A43 Trunk Road from the northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Junction 15a of the M1 Motorway at Rothersthorpe in Northamptonshire to Junction 10 of the M40 Motorway at Ardley Roundabout in Oxfordshire, including the circulatory carriageway of that roundabout; and (b) all the slip roads connecting the above length of road. A copy of the proposed Order, together with a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Carillion-URS, Kettering South Business Park, Kettering, Northants NN15 6XS; Northamptonshire County Council, County Hall, Northampton NN1 1DN; Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND; Towcester Post Office, 90 Watling Street East, Towcester, Northants NN12 6BT; Brackley Stores & Post Office, 30 High Street, Brackley, Northants NN13 7DS; or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division, Orders Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA 41/29/217. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection not later than 2 May 2006, or within 3 weeks of this publication, whichever is the latest.
