THE A421 TRUNK ROAD (BEDFORDSHIRE) (VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2005 REVOCATION ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A421 Trunk Road in Bedfordshire. The effect of the Order would be to revoke the A421 Trunk Road (Bedfordshire) (Variable Speed Limit) Order 2005/SI 1315 which imposed a 40 or 50 miles per hour speed limit, in conjunction with lane closures, on the A421 Trunk Road from the M1 Junction 13 (including the circulatory carriageway of the roundabout of that junction) to the A421/A1 Black Cat Roundabout, including all slip roads connecting with that length of road. A copy of the proposed Order, together with a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Bedfordshire County Council, County Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford MK42 9AP; Marston Moretaine Post Office, 67 Bedford Road, Marston Moretaine, Bedford MK43 0LA; or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division, Orders Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA 41/29/218. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection not later than 2 May 2006, or within 3 weeks of this publication, whichever is the latest.
