THE SUTTON (DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES) (NO 1) (AMENDMENT NO 3) ORDER 2006

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above Order on 3 April 2006, under sections 6, and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Order is to provide for disabled persons a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult. 3. The general effect of the Order will be: (a) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park in the following locations, to operate at all times: (i) outside No 23 Bridle Path, Beddington (partially on the footway); (ii) outside No 22 Kirksted Road, Morden; (iii) outside No 41 St Pauls Close, Carshalton; and (iv) outside No 14 Washington Road, Worcester Park (partially on the footway). (b) to revoke the disabled persons parking places in the following locations: (i) outside No 310 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton; (ii) Grennell Road, Sutton adjacent to No 44 Danescourt Crescent; (iii) outside No 22 Iberian Avenue, Wallington; (iv) outside No 298 Middleton Road, Carshalton; (v) Norman Road, Sutton adjacent to No 26 Tate Road; (vi) outside No 19 Park Lane, Wallington; (vii) outside No 9 Revesby Road, Carshalton; (viii) outside No 100 Shaftesbury Road, Carshalton; (ix) Shrewsbury Road, Carshalton, outside No 8 Selby Green; (x) outside No 6 Wellow Walk, Carshalton; (xi) outside No 39 Wendling Road, Carshalton; (xii) outside No 4 Westbourne Avenue, North Cheam; (xiii) outside No 53 Wigmore Road, Carshalton; (xiv) outside No 34 William Road, Sutton; (xv) outside No 172 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton; (xvi) outside No 3 Woodside Road, Sutton; and (xvii) outside No 260 Wrythe Lane, Carshalton. where item (i) was advertised on 5 October 2005, is now being revoked following further consideration as advertised on 23 November 2005. (c) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park, for periods of up to one hour with no return within three hours, to operate at all times outside No 86 Westmead Road, Carshalton. 4. The proposal advertised on 13 July 2005 (Order Ref DS512), to provide a disabled persons parking place outside No 9 Raleigh Avenue, Wallington has been withdrawn. 5. The proposal advertised on 1 February 2006 (Order Ref DS534), to provide a disabled persons parking place outside No 95 Sandringham Road, Worcester Park has been withdrawn. 6. The proposal advertised on 1 February 2006 (Order Ref DS534), to provide a disabled persons parking place outside No 100 Longfellow Road, Worcester Park (partially on the footway) is subject to further consideration. 7. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 10 April 2006, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and plans showing the locations and effects of the Order may be examined at: Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm Tuesday and Thursday. 8. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
