PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that ThyssenKrupp Automotive Tallent Chassis Ltd has applied to Sedgefield Borough Council for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an existing installation involving the surface treatment of metals using a chemical process where the aggregated volume of the treatment baths is more than 30 cubic metres and in the same installation as painting and coating activities. The installation is located at Aycliffe Industrial Estate, Newton Aycliffe DL5 6EP, in the district of Sedgefield Borough Council in the county of Durham. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. The application has been placed on the public register at Sedgefield Borough Council, Council Offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor DL16 6JQ, and can be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to Sedgefield Borough Council at the above address, within 28 days from the date of this advertisement. Any representations will be entered onto a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
