THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO 26) (AMENDMENT NO 8) ORDER 2005
RELATING TO HIGH STREET, SUTTON

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above mentioned Order on 21 November 2005 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Orders is to introduce a one-way route in the pedestrianised section of High Street, Sutton that lies between its junctions with Greenford Road and Marshalls Road that provides access by permit for market stall holders to load and unload during permitted hours. 3. The general effect of The Sutton (Traffic Restriction) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) (No 2) Order 2005 will be to prohibit all classes of vehicles except those with permits from entering the pedestrianised section of High Street, Sutton that lies between its junctions with Greenford Road and Marshalls Road. 4. The general effect of The Sutton (Prescribed Route) (One-Way) (No 2) (Amendment No 10) Order 2005 will be to introduce one-way working in the pedestrianised section of High Street, Sutton that lies between its junctions with Greenford Road and Marshalls Road. 5. The general effect of The Sutton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No 26) (Amendment No 8) Order 2005 will be to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” for that length of High Street, Sutton that lies between its junctions with Greenford Road and Marshalls Road. 6. Copies of the Orders which will come into operation on 28 November 2005, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders may be examined at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm Tuesday and Thursday. 7. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under that Act, has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
