THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO 24) (AMENDMENT NO 6) ORDER 2005
RELATING TO THE ST HELIER AREA

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above mentioned Order on 21 November 2005 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Order is to reduce obstructive parking and improve traffic flow throughout the St Helier area of Carshalton and Sutton. 3. The general effect of Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” at various road junctions in the roads listed in the Schedule to this notice. 4. A copy of the Order which, will come into operation on 28 November 2005, the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and plans showing the locations and effects of the Order may be examined at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm Tuesday and Thursday. 5. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under that Act, has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
