The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Enfield hereby give notice that they have made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended by Schedule 22 to the Greater London Authority Act 1999) (“the Act”) to authorise the stopping-up of sections of the highway in Enstone Road, EN3, in the London Borough of Enfield, as more particularly defined in the Schedule hereto and shown on Plan No 2128/I/2009/A (“the Plan”).
Stopping-up is authorised only in order to enables development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permissions granted under Part III of the Act to Laing Homes (North Thames), Premiere House, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire WD6 1JH, by the London Borough of Enfield, on 24 March 2005 under Ref TP/04/2649 and on 6 May 2005 under Ref TP/04/0678.
Copies of the Order and the Plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 16 November 2005 at the offices of the London Borough of Enfield, at Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XA, and may be obtained, free of charge, from that address (quoting Ref HG/1/ENSTONE).
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof or any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the act or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks of the date of this notice apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein.

Highway to be Stopped Up

Area A—Area of highway on the western side of the turning head in Enstone Road measuring approximately 11 metres in length by 3.5 metres in width.

Area B—Area of highway on the eastern side of Enstone Road commencing at the southern end of the road and extending northwards for approximately 33.5 metres and with a width varying between 2.5 metres and 9.5 metres.

Area C—Area of highway within the bell mouth of the access formerly serving No 9 Enstone Road.
