HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of South Tyneside, the Highway Authority, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at South Shields, on 13 December 2005, at 2.00 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of the following length of highway on the ground that it is unnecessary. The irregular shaped area of highway at Flagg Court, South Shields, from the junction with South Back Ocean Road in a southerly direction and having a maximum length of 65.6 metres and a maximum width of 31 metres. The effect of the proposed Order is shown on the plan deposited at the offices of Legal Services, Town Hall and Civic Offices, South Shields, where it may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
