In the In the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division) Companies Court No 6897 of 2005 In the Matter of ECUMENICAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (“Ecumenical”) and In the Matter of ANSVAR INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (“Ansvar”) and In the Matter of THE FINANCIAL SERVICES AND MARKETS ACT 2000 Notice is hereby given that an application (the Application) for an order sanctioning a general insurance business transfer scheme (the Scheme) under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 was on 14 October 2005 presented to the High Court by Ecumenical. The Scheme provides for the transfer to Ansvar of the general insurance business of Ecumenical. A copy of a report on the terms of the Scheme prepared by an independent expert and a statement setting out the terms of the Scheme and containing a summary of the report can be obtained from the website of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc at www.ecclesiastical.co.uk. Copies can also be obtained, free of charge, from The Company Secretary, Ecumenical Insurance Company Limited, Beaufort House, Brunswick Road, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1JZ. The Application is directed to be heard before the Companies Court Judge at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL on 19 December 2005. Any person (including an employee of Ecumenical or Ansvar) who believes that he or she would be adversely affected by the carrying out of the Scheme is entitled to be heard (in person or by legal representative) by the High Court at the hearing of the Application.
