THE HARINGEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (NO 1) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to create a controlled parking zone operative between 5.00 pm and 8.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and between 12.00 noon and 4.30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays on any day on which a football match or other organised event is taking place at the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Stadium situated in High Road, London N17. 3. Residents and business users whose postal address is indicated in the Schedule to this notice may apply for free parking permits and residents may purchase visitors parking permits, for passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles (the overall height of which does not exceed 2.27 metres and the overall length of which does not exceed 5.25 metres) or invalid carriages, at the rates set out below:

(a) residents permit Free of charge
(b) businesses permit Free of charge
(c) essential service permit public sector commercial sector £25 each per year £100 each per year
(d) essential service transferable permit public sector commercial sector £30 each per year £125 each per year
(e) residents short stay visitors’ permit (valid for 2 hours) £3.60 per set of 12 permits £6 per set of 20 permits
(f) residents weekend visitors’ permit (valid 12.00 noon Friday for 72 hours) £5 each
(g) residents long stay visitors’ permit (valid for 14 days) £8 each
For residents aged 60 and over and Registered Disabled
(h) residents short stay visitors’ permit (valid for 2 hours) £1.80 per set of 12 permits £3 per set of 20 permits
(i) residents weekend visitors’ permit (valid 12.00 noon Friday for 72 hours) £2 each
(j) residents long stay visitors’ permit (valid for 14 days) £3 each
The permits for the controlled parking zone would only be valid in the zone for which they are issued. The maximum annual entitlement of visitors’ permits would be 100 short stay permits, 6 weekend visitor permits and 2 long stay permits. The maximum annual entitlement for resident’s aged 60 would be 240 short stay permits, 12 weekend visitor permits and 4 long stay permits. 4. The further effects of the Orders would be to: (a) designate residents parking places, on certain lengths of the streets specified in the Schedule to this notice, operative between 5.00 pm and 8.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and between 12.00 noon and 4.30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays on any day on which a football match or other organised event is taking place at the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Stadium situated in High Road, London N17, where vehicles displaying a valid residents parking permit or a disabled person’s badge would be permitted to wait without time limit. (b) impose waiting restrictions operative at any time on certain lengths of the streets specified in the Schedule to this notice. 5. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, together with plans and more detailed particulars showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected during normal office working hours, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at River Park House, 1st Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8HQ. 6. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the River Park House, 1st Floor (South), 225 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8HQ, within 21 days of the date on which this notice is published.
