STOPPING-UP OF A LENGTH OF HIGHWAY AT MARYPORT IN THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA

The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice that on the application of Allerdale Borough Council, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Cumbria) (No 7) Order 2005, authorising the stopping-up of a length of footway at 1 Ghyll Mount, Ellenborough, Maryport. This stopping-up Order is permanent and has been authorised to allow the development described in the planning permission granted to Cain & Hall by Allerdale Borough Council on 19 October 2000 under Ref 2/2000/0509. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport & Planning), City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref GO/TNW 5049/35/1/83). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Allerdale Borough Council, Allerdale House, Workington. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 30 September 2005, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
