THE LEWISHAM (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (AMENDMENT NO 2) ORDER 2005

1. Notice is hereby given that Lewisham Council propose to make this Order under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to amend the Lewisham (Special Parking Area) (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Order 2003 in Order to: (a) Lengthen to approximately 11 metres disabled persons’ parking place at Theodore Road north side and relocate it from outside No 24 to outside church adjacent as part of parking provisions in the extended Rushey Green East Controlled Parking Zone; and (b) Remove disabled persons’ parking place no longer required outside No 68 Monson Road. 3. Controls at disabled persons’ parking places specified in this amendment and in the 2003 Order are enforceable at all times. Exemptions from the restrictions include picking up and setting down passengers up to 2 minutes, Council and statutory undertakers’ vehicles engaged on various statutory duties, stopping to avoid an accident, police, fire brigade and ambulance service vehicles in an emergency and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Any objection or other representation relating to the Order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent, quoting Ref “P.Sear/RushE.disab”, to Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
