PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Johnsons Wellfield Quarries Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the importation of inert materials to achieve restoration levels at a dimension stone quarry. The installation is located at Wellfield Quarry, Crossland Hill, in the district of Kirklees in the county of West Yorkshire. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Wellfield Quarry installation is held in registers at the following locations: Public Register: Environment Agency Office, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG; and Local Authority: Kirklees Metropolitan Council, West Riding House, 9 Manchester Road, Huddersfield HD1 3HH. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses, during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing stating the Ref No (EA/PPC/LP3336SG) to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
