NOTIFICATION OF APPLICATION FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that A. Chandler (Norfolk) Limited of Home Farm, Riddlesworth, Diss, Norfolk IP22 2TD is applying to the Environment Agency for licences to abstract water from chalk underground strata at/between National Grid Refs TL 9667 8202, TL 9616 8104 and TL 9673 9209 at Riddlesworth, Norfolk.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 244.4 cubic metres per hour, 5,000 cubic metres per day, 345,400 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 31 October each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation.
Also from the River Thet at National Grid Ref TL 945 842 at Riddlesworth, Diss, Norfolk.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 109.2 cubic metres per hour, 2,400 cubic metres per day, 181,200 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 30 September each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation.
A copy of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Home Farm, Riddlesworth, Diss, Norfolk between 19 April 2005 and 19 May 2005.
Any person wishing to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
