THE ISLINGTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200  
THE ISLINGTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200  
MARGERY STREET, MERLIN STREET, WILMINGTON STREET AND YARDLEY STREET

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under section 6 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Prescribed Route Order would be to:

(a) prohibit any vehicle, except a pedal cycle, to enter, proceed or wait in that part of Wilmington Street which lies between the south-eastern kerbline of Merlin Street and a point 6 metres south-east of that kerbline;
(b) prohibit any vehicle, except a pedal cycle, to enter, proceed or wait in that part of Yardley Street which lies between the south-eastern kerbline of Margery Street and a point 6 metres south-east of that kerbline;
(c) prohibit any vehicle, except a pedal cycle, travelling in a south-westerly direction on Merlin Street to enter Wilmington Street;
(d) introduce a left turn only for vehicles proceeding in a south-easterly direction in Wilmington Street at its junction with Merlin Street;
(e) revoke the existing left turn only on Yardley Street at its junction with Margery Street.

3. The prohibition referred to would not apply to:

(a) vehicles used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform;
(c) to any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance to any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

4. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to further amend the Islington (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Consolidation Order 2004, so that in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on waiting by vehicles would be changed so that it would apply at any time.
5. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders at the following location:

6. Any person who wishes to object or to make other representations about any of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Street Management, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA, (quoting Ref TMO/CD/1473), within the period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.

Merlin Street, between the north-eastern kerbline of Wilmington Street and a point 7.5 metres north-east of that kerbline.

Wilmington Street :

the north-east side, between a point 2.5 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Merlin Street and a point 12 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Merlin Street;
the south-west side, between a point 1 metre south-east of the north-western kerbline of Merlin Street and a point 8 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Merlin Street.

Yardley Street, between the south-eastern kerbline of Margery Street and a point 6 metres south-east of that kerbline.
