HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND SCHEDULE 12

IN THE COUNTY OF DURHAM PETTY SESSIONAL DIVISION OF NORTH DURHAM

Notice is hereby given that the County of Durham, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Old Elvet, Durham, County Durham on 27 April 2005, at the hour of 10.00 am for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising that the lengths of footways detailed in the Schedule hereto be stopped up for public use.
The effect of the Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Durham County Council, County Hall, Durham between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.
On the hearing of the application any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said highway or uses the said highway or is otherwise aggreived shall have a right to be heard.
